"Off the Rack" is the happy by-product of a major renovation of the Everson's on-site art storage. As hundreds of paintings and framed works are displaced from their racks while renovations take place, the public has an unprecedented opportunity to view objects that have been in deep storage for years, never-before-seen recent acquisitions, and some perennial favorites — all hung together salon-style in our exhibition galleries. This smorgasbord of paintings and works on paper showcases the breadth and depth of the Museum's collections and provides a glimpse into the world of collections management and care.

Opening: Life/Afterlife ... Do You Have a Plan?: Work by Vykky Ebner and Pam McLaughlin ArtRage Gallery
Price: Free ArtRage Gallery
505 Hawley Ave.,
Syracuse
There will be an opening reception this evening 6:00-8:00 pm. "Life/Afterlife ... Do you have a plan?" delves into the profound psychological toll religious dogma can have on mental health and spotlights two women who bravely navigated a journey through religious indoctrination, survived its challenges, and now speak up about the damages they endured, ultimately thriving despite the adversity. Through evocative artwork and stirring narratives, "Life/Afterlife" confronts the toxicity of religious orthodoxy and sheds light on the struggles of breaking free from rigid belief systems. Viewers will be inspired to reflect on their own beliefs and challenge societal norms as they experience the transformative power of rebellion and resilience.
